The Trump Administration is looking into revoking the automatic ability of spouses of H-1B workers to automatically be qualified to work. According to a CNN article:
“Since 2015, the spouses of H-1B, or high-skilled, visa holders waiting for green cards have been eligible to work in the U.S. on H-4 dependent visas, under a rule introduced by President Obama’s administration. The tech sector is a major employer of H-1B visa holders, a category of visas for highly skilled jobs.”
Robert Half has published a 2017 guide to technology salaries. The results are interesting to say the least.
There is a section that is in Beta as of Sept 2017 in your Dice profile.
If you edit your profile in dice, go down to Career Path. You should see job titles that would apply to your experience. For each title, there are skills with either a check or a plus. If there is a plus, you can add that skill (assuming you have it). It is a very handy tool to help you find some very important skills that you might not have added to your skillset.
