NOTE – be sure to backup your blog and template before trying this. For most users, there should not be a problem but backups can’t hurt.

I’ve been resurrecting a couple of blogger blogs that I have. I had a lot of usable photos that were in Google Photos. I didn’t see any reason not to upload to blogger from my google photos.
However, when I started clicking the Facebook share button on my blog posts, I noticed that not all of the images were showing on Facebook. After a bit of research, there seemed to be a link between posting to blogger from Google Photos with an account that is linked to Google Plus. Continue reading
Fixing a broken blogger blog that was showing a bx- error in the front end and when accessing templates.
I had a blogger based blog on a site. The blog was set up as blog.bucksviews.com.
For a number of reasons, I had shelved that domain for a while. I decided to bring it back online.

I found that I can get a decent mobile enabled interface using verizon wireless and my lg envy. The plus side is that I can truly mobile blog. The doenside is that I am using a mini keyboard and there might be a security risk. I’ll keep you posted
We’ve been doing a boatload of posts on one of our blogs. That particular blog is hosted on blogger. There is always a possibility that the blog could end up flushed down the memory hole.
So, how do you back up a google blogspot blog? There is nothing in the control panel that will allow you to do so.

Google’s Webmaster tools has some neat new sections. One of them is a diagnostic called Content Analysis . It will show problems that can kill your rankings such as duplication in titles or descriptions.
We have a couple of blogs. Some of them are hosted at blogger and some we host. The first blog we checked that was hosted at blogger (though with a custom domain) was fine. No content issues were found. Great. Continue reading

The tag in blogger will cause text within that tag to only show on your home page or archive pages. (For sites published to your own hosting via ftp). We have tweaked some of our blogs to show a permalink link. The problem was that if someone follows a permalink back to your blog, the text withing the MainorArchivePage tag will not show.
