Earthlink wireless bye, Spring Broadband hello

The earthlink wireless was still down. I’m not sure what the problem really was but the constant downtime and resulting support calls was getting tiring.

I wandered over to our local friendly RadioShack. They had a Sierra Aircard for about $80 after rebate. The nice thing was that they had a special on the unlimited broadband service for about $60/month with a 2 year contract with Sprint. The cheaper, limited plan only offered 40 MB per month. How to prevent hotlinking with Frontpage published sites.

I just got a notice that one of my sites was at 80% bandwidth. There was still over a week left in the month. When I checked the logs, there were a couple of forums hotlinking to my images. Hotlinking is where someone uses a link to one of your images on their site, a forum or a blog. The problem is that if it is a high traffic site, the traffic can kill your bandwith allowance.
